Fundación Integra Employment Integration Initiative

Fundación Integra operates as one of Spain’s leading social integration organisations, focused on providing employment opportunities to people facing social exclusion, including women victims of violence, individuals with disabilities, and the long-term unemployed.

Strategic Approach

Since 2001, the Foundation has secured over 21,500 jobs for people in vulnerable situations, with more than 7,000 of these positions specifically supporting women victims of violence. The initiative works through a comprehensive network of over 68 companies committed to socially responsible employment.

Key Achievements

In 2024 alone, nearly 400 women victims of violence successfully entered the labour market through Fundación Integra’s programmes. The Foundation’s “Illuminating Employment” project, developed in partnership with major corporations, has achieved a remarkable 50% success rate in job placement for participating women.

Pablo Horstmann Foundation African Development Programs

The Pablo Horstmann Foundation operates comprehensive development programs across Kenya and Ethiopia, focusing on healthcare, education and child welfare in some of Africa’s most vulnerable communities.

Strategic Approach

The Foundation centralises its efforts in the African regions of Turkana, Lamu (Kenya), and Meki (Ethiopia), providing quality healthcare to children and women, fighting child malnutrition, and operating educational facilities including the “Let Children Have Home” shelter in Meki.

Key Achievements

The Foundation’s projects reach more than 50,000 children annually across Kenya and Ethiopia. In recognition of its impact, the Foundation received the UNICEF Transformation Award 2019 for improving maternal-child health, reducing child mortality, and promoting access to women’s healthcare during pregnancy and postpartum.

Impact Beyond Numbers

By 2024, the Foundation successfully adapted its operations to comply with new Ethiopian regulations promoting local adoption and family reunification, transforming its shelter into a Temporary Foster Home to ensure more children find permanent homes.
